Carne Asada Tacos


1 pound round or skirt steak, thinly sliced (about 1/8 – ¼ inch)
12 corn tortillas, warmed on a frying pan or comal
1 cup chopped green cabbage
½ white onion, diced
½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped (about ½ cup)
6 lime wedges


Lightly dust steak with salt. Grill to your liking, (medium is easier to chop) then chop with cleaver
or chef’s knife. Place about 3 tablespoons in center of each warmed tortilla and top with chopped
cabbage, onions and cilantro. Squeeze limes over each taco as desired. Serve immediately.
